Over the years I have been fortunate to learn the ins and outs of our industry, this is where and how I developed my experience:

CMP (Certified Meeting Professional) certification - An event planning certification by the Convention Industry Council. As a CMP I have demonstrated to obtain a standard set of knowledge and skills in the meetings industry. This includes knowledge of congress terminology and international standard of communicating and working.

Venue - Sales - I started in this industry with an academic research on the congress needs and requirements within the medical and pharmaceutical industry in additional I supported the sales team in their daily activities. This was my starting point in the industry with great guidance of senior meeting professionals!

PCO (Professional Congress Organizer) - Operations & Account Management - 12 years experience within operations and account management of international pharmaceutical companies and (inter)national (medical) associations. My scope of work included: Acquisition, program design, account management, project management, site-inspections, venue search, contracting, registrations, KOL and speaker management, on-site execution, on-site management of operations team, budget management, financial project responsibility, consultancy solutions.

CVB - Convention Bureau - Working together with local partners to present the city of Rotterdam to international associations. I managed various bid processes from feasibility study to bid presentations. My activities also included Guiding Local Organizing Committees, Connecting local stakeholders (partners, universities, local and national government) to support international congresses, Venue search, Site-inspections, setting-up partnerships with local suppliers, Ambassadors Program - design & growth of this network, Local experts / Association focussed activities - design & execution.
